4.17.2012 Prairie Village, KS

Teacher Evaluation Software from Netchemia Provides TLE Technology Management Option for Oklahoma School Districts

Netchemia, LLC, developer of cloud-based talent management software for K-12 educational institutions, has received approval by the Tulsa Public Schools Board of Education to be an officially licensed provider of technology to manage the Tulsa TLE Teacher Observation and Evaluation Model. Netchemia’s TalentEd Perform performance evaluation software will now be available to Oklahoma school districts selecting the Tulsa TLE Teacher Evaluation Model as their Oklahoma TLE Commission-approved model for teacher evaluation.

In November, Tulsa Public Schools concluded an extensive RFP selection process by choosing TalentEd Perform to manage their self-developed evaluation model for their own district. The Tulsa TLE Teacher Observation and Evaluation Model, which was developed by Tulsa Public Schools, was selected in December as the state’s default evaluation model by the state of Oklahoma’s Teacher and Leadership Effectiveness Commission, and later adopted by the State Board of Education as one of three approved models under Senate Bill 2033. Districts that will be using the Tulsa TLE Model will now have the option to manage the framework in the identical online system utilized by Tulsa Public Schools.

“The technology behind the Tulsa TLE Evaluation Model will be an important component for Oklahoma districts, and we are excited about our ability to provide this service,” said Netchemia CEO Carlos Antequera. “Our team has worked closely with Tulsa Public Schools to ensure that the forms and processes we are delivering online reflect the content and results Tulsa Public Schools envisioned when developing their evaluation model.”

TalentEd Perform is a part of the TalentEd platform of cloud-based talent management software specifically developed for K-12 school districts. Netchemia currently provides TalentEd software to over 800 districts across the nation. Oklahoma school districts utilizing TalentEd Perform will have the ability to evaluate administrators, support staff, and classified staff with the software, in addition to teachers. They will also have the ability to complete evaluations, including observations and walkthroughs, on an iPad or mobile device.

Netchemia is currently in the process of demonstrating the capabilities of TalentEd Perform to superintendents and other Oklahoma administrators throughout the state. With the forms and content from the Tulsa TLE Observation and Evaluation Model already built into TalentEd Perform, these school leaders are able to see the model first-hand, in the exact manner they would utilize it.

“We encourage every Oklahoma school district utilizing the Tulsa Model to view the framework in TalentEd Perform.” said Antequera. “The software is powerful enough for the needs of a district like Tulsa Public Schools, but thanks to the cloud delivery, it is priced to be affordable by districts of every size, from the largest to the smallest.”
