Teacher Evaluation Software from Netchemia Wins RFP for Automation of Oklahoma’s Preferred Teacher and Leader Effectiveness ModelTalentEd Perform, cloud-based teacher evaluation software from Netchemia, LLC, has been selected by Tulsa Public Schools as the technology to provide an online framework for their newly-developed TLE teacher evaluation system. Tulsa Public Schools is now in the process of implementing the software, which will manage their self-developed TLE Observation and Evaluation System. The model was selected in December as the state’s default evaluation model by the state of Oklahoma’s Teacher and Leadership Effectiveness Commission, and later adopted by the State Board of Education as one of three approved models under Senate Bill 2033. The selection of TalentEd Perform was the conclusion to a comprehensive selection process employed by Tulsa Public Schools. Their goal was to select a vendor they could partner with to give them an online system that translates their framework to an online interface that can be easily managed by their administration, HR, and building principals. The adaptability and online delivery of the TalentEd Perform software offered the necessary flexibility and customization required to meet the requirements of Tulsa’s evaluation model. “We take pride in the ability of our software to adapt to any framework that a school district is using for the evaluation of their teachers and staff,” said Netchemia CEO Carlos Antequera. “Tulsa Public Schools was looking for a very comprehensive and customizable system to ensure that the rubrics and processes that they had developed could be utilized online, and TalentEd Perform has the power to do just that.” Like many states across the nation, Oklahoma has been actively moving to establish a protocol for the information they are requiring from the evaluation of teachers in their state. All Oklahoma school districts will soon be facing the challenge of implementing a state-approved teacher evaluation framework. Districts are required to select the state-approved evaluation model they will be using by April 16th. “Working with Tulsa Public Schools has provided us with substantial insight into the manner in which they are approaching evaluations, and the goals they are hoping to accomplish,” said Antequera. “This experience will be incredibly beneficial as we work with other Oklahoma districts that will be implementing the Tulsa TLE Observation and Evaluation System in near future.” TalentEd Perform contains a number of features that not only help school districts to provide necessary reporting, but also make their evaluation process easier to manage. With easy access to data, the ability for principals to do observations and walkthroughs on an iPad or mobile device, automated reminders, and advanced analytics, TalentEd Perform is creating the opportunity for school districts to do comprehensive evaluation in less time than previously required. TalentEd Perform, which is a part of Netchemia’s TalentEd platform of talent management software, customizes to the evaluation forms and processes that a district uses for teacher evaluations, and evaluations for all other positions within a district. As states have increased requirements and regulations dealing with the evaluation of educators, TalentEd Perform has seen rapid adoption over the past year. TalentEd Perform has also demonstrated momentum with districts that see the strong correlation between talent management and student outcome.
